Omiya Sushi Ramen Hibachi Letters on Contour Backer

OMIYA leads in a flared, calligraphic face, and the line beneath lists the menu in three words, telling diners what is served before they reach the door. Omiya took over a former all-you-can-eat space at Whitestone Las Colinas Village in Irving and serves New York-style sushi, ramen and hibachi a la carte.

Materials

White letters with dark returns sit on a navy backer cut close to their outline, with SUSHI RAMEN HIBACHI in clean sans serif capitals under the name. Behind it is a recessed tan stucco panel between cut stone piers, with blue and green diamond tile above and below.

Illumination

In bright sun the white faces stand out sharply against navy, and each return throws a thin shadow onto the backer.

Installation

Mounted high on the entry tower, over the diamond tile band and the dark awning below.
